Police force in Munich have started to use BMW i3 as part of their frontliner vehicle in town. It is part of their initiative to improve air quality in town but at the same time maintaining their agility. The BMW i3 is suitable to work in town area because it is has a compact size.

The BMW i3 used for the Bavarian police force have been fitted with Hella RTK 7 special signaling system, front and rear flasher. Other than BMW i3, BMW also supply BMW 3-Series and 5-Series with the compact BMW X3 that will be mainly in snowy area.
