Groupe PSA, which formerly known as PSA Peugeot-Citroen, is going to compete with Volkswagen Group, Mitsubishi, and Tesla with their new “Push and Pass” plan. Under the new strategy, there will be eleven new hybrid and EV models will be made in the next five years. Seven new models will be based on plug-in hybrid models, and the rest would be a battery powered vehicle.
With the all new segment from Peugeot-Citroen, it is expected 26 new vehicles will be made available for customers to choose. Compare to Tesla, which only focus on full battery powered vehicle. Groupe PSA is trying to minimize the risk while exploring the new market. For now, their new plan is being supported by previous record figure which shown 80 percent increment in sales for plug-in vehicle segment.
