Former Lotus CEO, Dany Bahar, has opened a new factory in Modena, Italy. The new factory will be used by ARES Design which run coachbuilding business. The new high tech facility has 18,000 square meter which is big enough to expand their future business.
ARES Design targetted unique platform with limited production unit available for customer to grab. For now they have heavily tweaked and produced two Bentley Mulsanne. The car was originally a 4-door sedan before the team at ARES Design reconstruct both car to become a luxury coupe. Other than physical appearance, it has now powered by a 6.75-liter V8 ensure with a price of €715,000.
ARES Design also shows their capabilities to restore and upgrade classic cars. ARES Corvette Stingray is their showcase to attract people who want a retro looks with a modern engine. The car features a 517 horsepower LS3 V8 engine with 5-speed transmission. The car looks stock except for a larger wheels to support the new massive horsepower. The same conversion will start at €350,000.
