Future Cars Will Need To Communicate Each Others

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) had issued a notice to mandate vehicle-to-vehicle communication in the future. The technology will help drivers aware any dangers unable to detect by sensors.

The communication will be implemented using a short range wireless signal which will send its current position, speed, heading and braking status ten times per seconds for 1,000 to 5,0000 ft.

It is expected all new vehicles will need to include a dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) radio as early as 2020.
