Lamborghini Plan To Build Engine From Carbon Fiber Components

Carbon fiber material is being used in today’s modern supercar because the material can save a lot of weight compared to other materials. Lamborghini says carbon fiber material may found its way as part of internal engine structural component in the future.

Lamborghini’s CEO added if they able to create carbon fiber components to connect rods, they could cut weight up to 50 percent and increase the overall output of the engine.

But the technology is not ready yet. Lamborghini through their Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory is working hard to improve the material to be used in internal engine components.

With better power efficiency, it is helping Lamborghini to build a more powerful engine with better fuel efficiency.
