Mercedes-Benz is one of premium model in Malaysia. Only those who have a big pocket can purchase and maintain it. Despite a high price tag on fully imported model like the C43 and GLA45, there are people who still buy it.
Based on early observation, this locally assembled model in Pekan, Pahang is not the latest facelift model. It still has the same active bi-xenon light and taillights found in previous fully imported model.
The car is powered by a 3.0 liter Bi-turbo V6 engine. Although it is an AMG engine, it is not hand assembled by one engineer like it is used to be. It is a normal practice for new AMG models to improve their product delivery. Some people love it and others hate this move.
On top of that, this locally assembled model also exclude the Race Mode and option for customer to select the AMG Performance Exhaust System. It does sound great but the additional optional package can make it sound better.
In terms of interior and exterior, it has the quality expected from a Mercedes. The interior is nice with leather trims with red stitches, Alcantara seats, AMG Meter cluster and red seatbelts.
If you want a high performance car but practical enough for daily driving and cover with warranty from official Mercedes Benz Malaysia, choose this locally assembled Mercedes C43. It is cheaper. But if you want fully imported model with some mileage on it, get from gray importers.
