Uber launches self-driving pilot in San Francisco with Volvo Cars

Uber Do Not Want To Pay $150 Permit To Run Their Self Driving Ride Services

Uber makes an announcement a few days back which says they will start piloting their self-driving ride services. But California authority had to shut it down because Uber does not have permits for all their self-driving vehicles. Uber defense themselves by saying there will be a driver during this pilot program and the vehicle they used is a Volvo XC90 which technically not an autonomous car.

But have Uber forgot that Google also used modified Lexus SUV and a human pilot as a backup during their pilot program? More than 130 autonomous vehicles are being tested on California roads, and Uber will face legal action if they still do not want to apply for the $150 permit.
