Volkswagen will bring Cross Coupe GTE to 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Their latest design language will influence future Tiguan. The Cross Coupe GTE concept car was developed on VW Group MQB platform which shared modular construction for front engine and front wheel drive system car among VW cars.
It will be powered 276 horsepower 3.6L V6 with two electric motors each will control front and rear wheels. All 355 horsepower combined power will be deliver to 6-speed DSG gearbox.
Volkswagen group will deliver it with their other two GTE flagships; the Golf GTE and Passat GTE. VW will offer 5 modes:-
- E-mode: Pure electric with 20 miles (32 km) electric range
- Battery Hold/ Charge
Its interior design still remain the minimalist look from Volkswagen. It will be deliver with 12.3 inch “Active Info Display” and 10.1 inch touchscreen in the centre stack. The full production version is expected to arrive in late 2016 or early 2017 and it will compete with Audi Q7 and Bently SUV.
