VTEC powered Super Lotus Elise is part of the plan from Julian Thomson while sketching an improved version of his Lotus Elise. Thomson said his design was inspired by the Porsche Singer 911.
Based on his sketches, the VTEC powered Super Lotus Elise will 30 mm lower and 100 mm wider. Current engine from Toyota were plan to be ditched to give a way for a Honda VTEC which will be matched with quick shifting sequential transmission.
The idea came when Julian Thomson, who is the designer boss for Jaguar, washed his car and every each time he realize things that he did not satisfied with the current design on the Lotus Elise. The sketches from Thomson looks perfect fit the car with LED headlights and taillights.
